Switzerland Shorten To Win Third Eurovision Song Contest

Switzerland is taking a song sung entirely in French to the Eurovision for the first time in 10 years and fans are backing then to win a third title in Rotterdam this May.

Singer-songwriter Gjon’s Tears will be representing Switzerland in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and BoyleSports have reacted to the increase of support by trimming them into 7/1 from 16/1, but their odds tumbled from 33/1 just a few days previous.

Iceland were subject of a gamble last week with their odds plummeting into 3/1 from 14/1 following the release of their entry. They were eased out to 6/1 48 hours ago but are now back as the 7/2 favourites following a flurry of bets placed on them on Sunday morning. Their song ‘Think About Things’ is extremely catchy and now Iceland are the leaders ahead of 5/1 shots Lithuania.

Ireland remain 28/1 after the announcement of Lesley Roy and her entry ‘Story Of My Life’.

Lesley performed the song on The Late Late Show on Friday night and the song is proving popular with fans with their double figure odds expected to shorten as the Eurovision approaches.
