X Factor Has A New Favourite In Shan

The X factor auditions are almost over and already there is a new favourite to win. With no bootcamp this year, hopefuls have only their audition to secure a place in the six chair challenge and the competition is fierce.

Shan, a 25-year-old session singer from Croydon, stole the show at the weekend after her rendition of Never Enough by Loren Allred which earned a standing ovation and four yes votes. Her impressive audition and vocals saw her take over at the head of the betting as the firm 3/1 favourite.

Previous early favourite to win Anthony Russell, who left during the six chair challenge last year due to personal reasons but returned having spent four months in rehab with the help of now judge Louis Tomlinson, is now the 6/1 second favourite.

Irish hopeful Brendan Murray, who represented Ireland in the Eurovision last year, has been the subject of support and saw his odds cut to 8/1 from 10/1 as a result.

Other hopefuls in with a shot at the X Factor title are newcomers Dalton Andre Harris, Georgia Burgess and Ricky John who are all priced at 10/1.
