It was a profitable day for fans of Mark Johnston trained horses and, in particular, for one plucky punter at York yesterday when they nabbed over €41K thanks to their insightful selections.

With a total of four winners yesterday at York it saw Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker pay out over €200,000 on Mark Johntson horses alone.

The customer wishes to remain anonymous, but BoyleSports can reveal the bet was placed in one of their Co Dublin shops. The bet was split into two parts with the first returning the largest sum. It consisted of a €20 treble on Notarised in the 2.40 at 12/1, Indescribable in the 4.20 at 33/1 and Yorkidding in the 5.20 at 10/3. All three horses won their respective races and saw the lucky punter scoop a whopping €35,360.

Their windfall did not stop there however as the bet also entailed three doubles at €10 apiece on the same selections which returned an added €6,300 bringing their total up to a staggering €41,660.

In recent weeks the large payouts have been for small stakes and although this one punter forked out a total of €50 they got their money back and then some. We want to wish them all the best with their winnings.
