Peter Wright Odds Cut For 2021-22 PDC World Darts Championship Title

Peter Wright is being backed to win his second World Darts Championship title following his Players Championship victory last month at Butlins Resort, Minehead.

Our traders have reported that ‘Snakebite’ had been trimmed into 6/1 from 10/1 after his 11-10 win over England’s Ryan Searle.

Prior to Wright’s win, he was runner-up to Gerwyn Price in the Grand Slam of Darts with punters getting behind the Scottish player to keep his good form going as he heads into the biggest tournament of them all.

Reigning champion Gerwyn Price will begin his defence of the Sid Waddell Trophy on the opening night of the 2021-22 PDC World Darts Championship.

The schedule for the opening two rounds has been revealed, with ‘The Iceman’ the main attraction on Wednesday, December 15th with his odds eased slightly to 7/2 from 3/1. Price could face his Welsh compatriot Jonny Clayton at the quarterfinal stage with the ‘Ferret’ 6/1 to continue his purple patch on the darts scene.

Saturday, December 18th will see Michael van Gerwen start his challenge to lift the trophy for a fourth time against Chas Barstow or John Norman Jr with his outright chances rated at 4/1.

The Queen of the Ally Pally Fallon Sherrock is 150/1 to make history as she returns to the stage on December 19th.
