Galway Hurdle

Outright Betting

We have priced up the Galway Hurdle following the weights release on Monday with the Willie Mullins trained Pique Sous installed as the 4/1 favourite.

Pique Sous was last seen landing the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot and

our traders have already reported interest in the Willie Mullins trained seven year old at 4/1 having only priced up the race on Monday afternoon.

Tony Martin has never won the Galway Hurdle but holds a strong chance with Quick Jack who is currently priced at 8/1 to win at the Ballybrit track. Quick Jack was last seen finishing third to Gilgamboa in the Hurdle at Leopardstown back in January.

Gordon Elliott’s Bayan recently recorded a flat win at Leopardstown and is 10/1 to follow up his win in the valuable hurdle next week whilst the Aidan O’Brien trained Plinth is priced at 12/1 alongside Stocktons Wing and Desertmore Stream.

Dermot Weld who is no stranger at having winners at Ballybrit is likely to saddle Hisaabaat who is priced at 16/1 to improve on his fifth place in the race last year.
