Bertie Ahern’s Odds Slashed To Be Next President Of Ireland

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern didn’t rule out the possibility of running for Áras an Uachtaráin yesterday when quizzed about it.

Dublin man Bertie has had his odds slashed into 10/1 from 14/1.

He is currently the biggest loser in the book for us having been the best backed contender ever since the market opened.

It’s ten years since Bertie was running the country and it would be no surprise to us whatsoever if he decided to run for Aras an Uachtaráin.

We’re unable to split the top four in the betting. The current co-favourites to succeed Michael D Higgins are Mairead McGuinness, Miriam O’Callaghan, Fergus Finlay, and Emily O’Reilly who are all priced at 8/1.
