Support For Fianna Fáil/Fine Gael/Independents Coalition

Leo Varadkar has said he hopes that a new Government will be formed in two weeks, with the chances of a Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Independents formation back in favour with the punters.

FF/FG/Independents to join forces had been as short as 8/11 a couple of weeks ago following a productive meeting between the two main parties, but those odds were eased out to 6/4 a couple of days ago with the Labour Party creeping into contention.

However, following Varadkar’s statement that he hopes to agree a joint document with Fianna Fáil, punters are backing a FF/FG/Independents outcome with those odds nibbled into 11/8. It’s still the favourite in the market but a government consisting of Labour is not far away at 9/4, tumbling from 12/1 a few days ago.
