Next Government To Make Waves And Abolish Water Charges

As the country awaits the announcement of the next Irish government, the question lingers, will they abolish the water charges?

The water charges have caused public outcry and protest since their introduction and it will be a hot topic of debate for the new Irish government.

Having paid out on a Fine Gael/Fianna Fáil coalition just one day after polling, we’re offering 1/2 that the water charges will remain in place once a new government is finally formed.

However, optimistic punters have been steadily backing the positive odds of 6/4 that the charges will in fact be abolished completely by January 2017.

Some more positive news for the anti-water charge public is that although the charges not to be abolished is odds-on at 1/2, it has drifted from its shorter price of 1/7 as a result of the support the Yes side has gained.
