Poll Slump Sees Fianna Fáil Drift To Win Next Election

Fianna Fáil’s chances of winning the next Irish general election are at their most remote since the market opened shortly after February’s visit to the ballot box.

A new Red C Poll for The Business Post has seen the party’s support slump to its lowest ever level at just 10% and it comes as punters have gone completely cold on their chances of topping the polls at the next election.

BoyleSports eased Micheál Martin’s party out to 5/1 from 7/2 on Sunday with the chances of the Taoiseach securing sole ownership of the position after the next election now out at 6/1 from 9/2.

Both Fine Gael (35%) and Sinn Féin (27%) remained on the same level of support according to the latest polling figures but it’s the latter who leads the betting at 11/10 to win most seats next time out.

Our biggest liability is actually on Sinn Féin and they are marginal favourites despite finishing second in the latest poll.
