Price Slash On Varadkar To Be Next Taoiseach

Following on from Leo Varadkar’s announcement on Sunday, the Minister of Health has been heavily backed to be Taoiseach after the next election.

We can report that a flurry of bets came rolling in on Sunday after Leo Varadkar talked openly about being gay on his 36th birthday.

The Minister made his announcement ahead of the upcoming marriage equality referendum and has received a new string of support as a result. As punters flocked to back Mr Varadkar, we had to cut his price from 16/1 to 10/1 to become next Taoiseach.

Enda Kenny continues to head the betting at 4/5, with Michael Martin also a hot contender at 15/8. Gerry Adams is now on offer at 5/1 having been initially installed at 66/1 as support continues for the Sinn Féin president.
