UK Into Odds-On For the First Time To Leave EU By October 31st

Bets are flooding in on a no deal Brexit following Boris Johnson’s plans to suspend parliament and deliver a new Queen’s speech on October 14th.

After a meeting between opposition parties on Tuesday, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn announced a consensus had been reached to prioritise legislation in attempts to block a no deal exit from the European between now and the scheduled leave date on October 31st.

However, the Prime Minister has replied with plans to suspend parliament two weeks before that date, limiting the time for MPs to debate and pass legislation that could thwart a no deal Brexit.

The developments in London on Wednesday saw a no deal Brexit backed into 11/10 from 2/1.

It’s odds-on at 8/13 from 11/10 that the UK leaves the EU before November 1st.

That means an October Brexit has gone odds-on for the first time, with the chances of remaining beyond October now the more unlikely of the two options having drifted out to 6/5 from 10/11.
