Will Kamala Harris Be The One To Trump Donald?

Kamala Harris is the newest name in the frame to oust Donald Trump from the White House after she confirmed this week that she will seek the Democratic nomination for the 2020 US Presidential Election.

Her announcement makes Harris the 3/1 favourite with us to be the Democratic candidate to contest next year’s vote, as her odds were cut in from 6/1 on Wednesday, seeing her leapfrog Beto O’Rourke and Elizabeth Warren.

O’Rourke had been the previous favourite after he registered the best Democratic results in a Senate race for 20 years in Texas, narrowly missing out on unseating Ted Cruz in the US Midterm Elections

Harris’ odds of actually winning the 2020 Election have also taken a tumble, going into 9/2 from 8/1 this week, making her the second most likely winner behind 2/1 favourite Donald Trump.

His status as favourite in that market however seems to be down to the fact that he is almost certain to stand, and he’ll be under threat when the Democrats select who will be putting their name down on the ballot paper. They are 4/6 favourites to unseat the President, with the Republicans 6/5 outsiders to win when the votes are counted next November.
