Price Slash On Fallon Sherrock To Reach Grand Slam Of Darts Final
Fallon Sherrock is being backed for a remarkable run to the final at the Grand Slam of Darts after snatching victory from the jaws of defeat in a thrilling Group E finale on Tuesday evening.
The Milton Keynes star needed to win by two clear legs to progress and was on the brink of elimination when opponent Gabriel Clemens raced into a 3-1 lead.
Sherrock dug deep to produce a stunning comeback, reeling off four consecutive legs capped off by a 170 finish to seal her place in the next round.
That saw Sherrock become the first woman to reach the last 16 of a major PDC event and…
we have now slashed her chances of going all the way to the final into 20/1 from 80/1 before the match.
The 27-year-old had been a 400/1 shot in the betting to break another barrier by winning the tournament but has now been cut into 50/1, while Michael van Gerwen is the current 2/1 favourite ahead of his last-16 clash with Gary Anderson.
Sherrock meanwhile renews rivalries with Mensur Suljovic for a place in the quarter-finals and while she will start the underdog again, she has been clipped into 7/4 from 2/1 to repeat her Alexandra Palace heroics over the Austrian, who was on the wrong end of the scoreline following their World Championship clash in 2019.
