Punters Pile In On Sweden For Eurovision

The Eurovision Song Contest is approaching and there has been significant market support for some of the entrants ahead of the contest in Kiev on Saturday 13th May.

Over the past 24 hours all the money has come in for Sweden, who will be represented by Robin Bengtsson with the song I Can’t Go On.

Sweden have won the competition on six occasions and are now 7/1 from 20/1 to equal Ireland’s record of seven wins.

Italy are currently the warm 11/8 favourites having been initially installed at 4/1.

Ireland will be represented by Brendan Murray and are currently 33/1 to win the competition for a record eighth time.

Traders are expecting plenty of patriotic bets getting behind the former Hometown band member as The Eurovision Song Contest becomes our biggest novelty antepost betting market of the year.
