Rose Of Tralee Crown To Stay In Ireland?

It’s the calm before the storm in Tralee today as 32 beautiful ladies make the final preparations ahead of the Rose of Tralee tomorrow.

Boylesports’ outright market has seen some changes in power as punters show their support for their Rose of choice.

Carlow Rose, Miriam Smith, is fighting strong at the top of the betting having made her way up the ranks from 7/1 to the now 11/4 favourite. Cork Senior Camogie Captain and Cork Rose, Anna Geary, is however hot on her heels at 4/1. The biggest movement comes for the Queensland Rose, Ashlinn O’Neil, a Solicitor in Civil Litigation.

Ashlinn was as big as 33/1 on Monday and her chances were not looking good but she was swiftly cut into 9/2 as the money came rolling in for her to give the Sunshine State their third win.

Next in the betting is Philadelphia Rose, Maria Walsh at 5/1, with Abu Dhabi Rose, Patrice McGillycuddy, right behind her at 6/1. Leitrim Rose, Zara Healy, was the early favourite to win but has since moved down the betting and is now 13/2 alongside Galway Rose, Nicola Corcoran.

Mary Hickey has the tough task of representing the host county and presenter Daíthí Ó Sé’s home county, Kerry, and she is 7/1 to end the long wait for the crown to return to The Kingdom.
