Ireland Set To Rule The Rugby World?

Ireland are being backed to be crowned Six Nations and World Cup winners in 2019 as they remained on course for a clean sweep of Autumn International victories against Argentina on Saturday.

Joe Schmidt’s men, who tallied 54 points in their mauling of Italy in Chicago last weekend, emerged 28-17 victors in a trickier encounter with the Pumas in Dublin making it two wins from two ahead of New Zealand’s visit to the Aviva Stadium next Saturday.

New Zealand go into the encounter as 4/9 favourites with the hosts at 9/5, however the antepost money has been piling on the Boys In Green defending their Six Nations crown next year. They are now Even money favourites from 5/4 to win it again and 3/1 from 4/1 to pull off their second consecutive Grand Slam.

An historic Six Nations/World Cup double has also been seeing money at 11/1, with the All-Blacks now the only team ahead of Ireland in the betting to lift the Webb Ellis trophy next October. New Zealand are Even money favourites but Ireland lead the chasing pack at 9/2 ahead of 7/1 shots England.
