Sacre Ready To Sprint Back To Winning Ways

Clarence House Chase

Outright Betting

Six horses have been left in Saturday’s Clarence House Chase at Ascot following the latest declaration stage and it’s Sprinter Sacre who is currently a shade of odds on at 5/6 to get back to winning ways.

All eyes will be on Sprinter Sacre if he takes his chance on Saturday. At present punters are being cautious and look to be waiting to see if the horse known as The Aeroplane is finally back at his best.

Sprinter’s nearest rival in the betting is Dodging Bullets at 5/2, who will be hoping to continue his winning ways having won the Tingle Creek in December. Dodging Bullets is the one that is attracting support. The horse, who was bred by Frankie Dettori and formerly trained on the flat in Ireland by Andrew Oliver, is now 5/2 having been installed at 10/3 last week.

Somersby, who was runner up in the Tingle Creek and winner of the Clarence House Chase in 2012, is 9/2 to reverse the form with Dodging Bullets.

Willie Mullins has left in Twinlight who is priced at 7/1, whilst French Opera (25/1) and 40/1 shot, Grey Gold, make up the remaining six.
