Seeley’s Selections – Ecuador v Bolivia

Ecuador v Bolivia

Match Betting

The Group A clash on Monday evening in the Copa America between Ecuador and Bolivia might not look a decent one and trust me it won’t be.

Defeat for either nation will see them eliminated from the tournament and with these two renowned for their lack of attacking quality in a game that means so much, this has the potential to make Republic of Ireland v England last weekend look a football classic.

The Ecuadorians produced very little in their 2-0 defeat against hosts Chile in their opener and anybody who witnessed that performance would not be tempted by the 11/20 on offer with BoyleSports for a win on Monday.

They do boast the better individuals but they’ve gone backwards in the last two years and Gustavo Quinteros’ side have now won just won once in their last five matches (against the mighty Panama), hardly the form in invest your hard earned cash on at odds-on quotes.

Bolivia started their campaign with a gutsy 0-0 draw with Mexico which might not look that impressive, but it was. The Bolivians were the better side in that match and probably deserved more from it but their powder-puff attack let them down.

The most impressive thing about their performance was their defence as that was the first time in 30 international matches that El Verde have kept a clean sheet and they will take massive confidence from that point into this one.

Bolivian football has been in turmoil this season with three different managers but they look on the right track and at a massive 6/1 to get maximum points in this one, that looks a big price.

Mauricio Soria has only been in charge of the national team for just two matches and the improvement is there for all too see, however I couldn’t back them for the win at the 6/1 with BoyleSports but I can see them getting a draw which is certainly the value at 29/10.

The two meetings between these nations in World Cup qualifying were awful with just three goals scored and two of them penalties; expect more of the same.

I’m all over under 2.5 goals again in this one at 4/6 with BoyleSports and now that Bolivia have kept a clean sheet at long last, I’m expecting them to be like buses with another to follow very quickly. Both teams not to score at 23/20 is also a bet I like.

A draw isn’t any good for either nation but both lack the attacking quality to score and the 7/1 on them to continue both of their goalscoring droughts in this one with a boring 0-0 draw looks the call. No goalscorer is also MASSIVE at that price of 7/1 with BoyleSports.

B Lucky!
