Seeley’s Selections – Saturday’s Live Football
Another massive weekend of live Premier League football both at the top and bottom of the table and it’s an odd game to choose, but Swansea v Everton is where it all starts on Saturday lunchtime.
Neither of these sides have anything to play for so it does seem an strange decision by Sky to screen this one, but don’t worry as we have some decent bets to get stuck into.
Swansea are BoyleSports uneasy 6/4 favourites to win this and I’m not sure why?
They have nothing to play for and after another pleasing season they can be forgiven for having one eye on the end of season tour to Dubai.
Since Everton were dumped out of the Europa League their Premier League form been impressive.
Roberto Martinez’ side have now won four of their last five matches and there is a lot to like about them at the at a very tasty 21/10 available with BoyleSports.
Martinez takes his Everton side back to his former stomping ground knowing that they have a great recent record in Wales.
The Toffees haven’t come unstuck in their last 19 league games against the Swans with 13 wins and six draws and I like their chances to maintain that good run on Saturday.
If Everton do win this one, which I expect them to, it will be the first time since August last year that they’ve won four consecutive matches and I don’t think they could pick better opponents.
These two played out a boring 0-0 draw earlier in the season, but that was the first time in their last five meetings that more than two goals haven’t featured and I fancy goals.
It’s nearing the end of season which means high scoring games and three or more goals in this one at 23/20 with BoyleSports looks the bet as does both teams to score which had been a winner in three of the last five meetings between this pair at 5/6 with BoyleSports.
I’m going to take Everton to win this 3-2 which is a massive 33/1 with BoyleSports the sun is shining which means the goals are flying and a common theme from now until the end of the season is to be on over the goals and we won’t be disappointed in this one.
When it comes to looking for a first goalscorer this is a difficult one.
Everton’s last eight Premier League goals have been scored by different players and you could make a case for anybody, but I’m going to stick my neck out on Leighton Baines at 14/1.
Remember Double Bubble if your winning first goalscorer selection bets inside the opening 20 minutes BoyleSports will double all winning first goalscorer bets on all this weekends Premier League matches.
Over 2.5 Goals @ 23/20
Both Teams To Score – YES @ 5/6
Correct Score Everton 3-2 @ 33/1
Leighton Baines First Goalscorer @ 14/1
Burnley v Arsenal
The Saturday evening game features two teams with a bit more to play for with the two sides in desperate need for points for very different reasons when Burnley host Arsenal at Turf Moor.
The Gunners are flying at present and the one thing they never do is lose to teams in the bottom half of the table and they won’t start in this one.
Arsene Wengers side are just 4/7 with Boylesports to win this and although I confidently expect them to travel back to the capital with the three points, I couldn’t back them at that price.
Burnley do make things very difficult for their visitors and recent teams have complained about the length of the grass on the Turf Moor pitch, well that was the excuse given by Tottenham for their poor performance.
Burnley beat Manchester City and drew 0-0 with Tottenham and at 11/2 to win this I couldn’t be backing them.
I don’t think they will win, but they will make it very difficult for The Gunners and under 2.5 goals looks good to me at BoyleSports offer of 11/10.
The Gunners have won their last seven Premier League games, which is the best current run in the league and no side has won eight games on the trot this season, but they will on Saturday night.
I like Arsenal strongly to win this one but instead of taking the short prices an Arsenal win to nil at 13/8 with BoyleSports looks the best bet in the game and I’m taking the visitors to edge this in a tight one 1-0 which is generous at 13/2 with BoyleSports.
When it comes to a first goalscorer it’s just impossible to overlook Olivier Giroud in his current form.
The Frenchman is on fire scoring 10 goals in his last 10 matches and is making a challenge for the Premier League golden boot.
Giroud has now scored the first goal in six of his last seven starts and is still being priced up at a tasty 7/2 with BoyleSports to continue his current form with the opener and hopefully an early one to land the double bubble.
Arsenal To Win To Nil @ 13/8
Correct Score Arsenal 1-0 13/2
Olivier Giroud First Goalscorer @ 7/2
