Seeley’s Selections – Saturday’s Live Premier League

This weekend’s live Premier League football starts for Boylesports punters with a Saturday lunch time clash from the Midlands where West Brom host Arsenal.

West Brom v Arsenal, Saturday 12:45, live on BT Sport 1
The Baggies are in a bit of a slump at the moment with just one win from their last seven matches and the goals have dried up for star man Saido Berahino which is a major problem for rookie boss Alan Irvine. They come into this game as the Boylesports’ 7/2 outsiders and on the evidence of their last home appearance, a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, they aren’t to be touched at that price for the upset.

Arsenal have lost their last two Premier League matches both 2-1 against Swansea and Manchester United and this is a perfect opportunity for them to get bounce back to winning ways. The Gunners were very impressive in their 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek and if they repeat that performance, they will be far too strong for their hosts and at odds of 20/23, I can see Boylesports favourite backers getting off to a winning start.

I really can’t see past an away victory.

Three of the last five matches between these two sides at the Hawthornes have ended in draws and many may be swayed by the 11/4 on offer with Boylesports about another stalemate in this one; but with the returning Olivier Giroud and more importantly defender Laurent Koscielny, I just can’t see past those Wenger Boys.

Even though I can’t see the home team winning, I can see them scoring as they’ve bagged 14 goals in their home matches already this season. In the last six seasons this fixture has seen both teams scoring and at 3/4 with Boylesports, that also will start your weekend with a bit of extra beer money in the sky rocket.

With goals expected for both sides I like the look of an Arsenal 2-1 win which is available at Boylesports’ 7/1 and if you are looking for a first goalscorer, the returning Giroud is a 9/2 chance but while he’s been away, there is a new King of the North Bank and Alexis Sanchez is that man and he would get my vote yet again at 4/1.

REMEMBER – Double Bubble – if your winning first goalscorer nets the opener inside the first 20 minute, Boylesports will double the odds on your winning selection.

Seeley’s Selections:
Arsenal To Win @ 20/23
Both teams to score @ 3/4
Arsenal To Win 2-1 @ 6/1
Alexis Sanchez First Goalscorer @ 4/1 (8/1 Double Bubble)

Sunderland v Chelsea, Saturday 5.30pm, live on Sky Sports 1
Chelsea continue their stroll to the Premier League title with a Saturday evening visit to Wearside to take on Sunderland.

Frighteningly, The Blues just seem to get better and better each week and in their last outing, the 5-0 hammering of Schalke in Germany, that was their best performance of the season. I have no doubts whatsoever the Chelsea will make the long trip back to the Capital with three points but at Boylesports’ quotes of 2/5 they will not be carrying a penny of my money. I don’t like odds-on aways at any time in the Premier League but at 2/5, that’s just crazy to even contemplate a financial interest.

So where do we make some money then?

Chelsea always win this fixture; they’ve won in nine of their last 10 visits to The Stadium of Light, but it’s always a tough one. This game has a history of goals; 36 of the beauties have been scored in those 10 matches and both teams have scored in nine of them.

Both teams to score here is the best bet in the game again for me at a very generous Boylesports offer of 21/20 as the Blues are always liable to concede one on the road and have done just that in eight of their nine away games this season.

Last season, this match ended 4-3 to Jose Mourinho’s men and that’s a massive 80/1 chance to happen again, although I fancy goals, I don’t fancy that many and my idea of a correct score would be 3-1 to the visitors at Boylesports’ 10/1. Sunderland went to Stamford Bridge and won last season and some diehards might be tempted by the 8/1 carrot being dangled by Boylesports about Gus Poyet’s side in this one.

Poyet has a very good record against his former club, but even he would admit this is going to be a tough ask to get anything this time around.

Sunderland are the draw specialists in the Premier League with seven stalemates already and at a juicy 4/1 with Boylesports, that’s the best they can hope for.
In the Schalke game, Chelsea will be encouraged that Diego Costa didn’t score and five other players did.

Costa is 9/4 to make amends with the first goal in this one but John Terry, who opened the scoring in Germany, is tempting at 16/1 to get the opener. He landed the Double Bubble in midweek and against a side that he’s netted against four times previously, I’m going to get involved again. That’s a whopping 32/1 if he does so within the first 20 minutes!

B Lucky!

Seeley’s Selections:
Both teams to score @ 21/20
Chelsea to win 3-1 @ 10/1
John Terry First Goalscorer @ 16/1 (32/1 Double Bubble)
