Seeley’s Selections – Sunday Live Games

IT really is a Super Sunday today with a bumper day of Premier League football action starting with the early kick-off the London derby between Tottenham and West Ham at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham are a confident selection for me at BoyleSports 4/5 and one I want to start the day off with a nice few quid in the old sky rocket.

Spurs, rested a some key players in the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in the Europa League on Thursday, but they will all be back for this feisty affair and despite that disappointing draw against the Italians spirits will be very high in the white half of north London after just three defeats in their last 13 games.

The visitors arrive at this one with just two wins in their last 12 matches and Big Sam Allardyce is a man under pressure.

The timing couldn’t be any better for Spurs to be facing their London rivals, who are low of morale and missing Andy Carroll through injury and the suspended Morgan Amalfitano and I fancy them to take full advantage.

Tottenham, very fortunately won this game on the opening day of the season 1-0 and that is 15/2 with BoyleSports to happen again, but that doesn’t interest me.

The Hammers are 19/5 with BoyleSports to cause an upset and they might be a popular choice after beating Spurs on all three occasions that they faced them last season, with two wins at White Hart Lane.

This season though their away from has let them down with just one victory in their last eight road trips and they can’t be touched.

Nine of the last 15 Tottenham wins have been won by a 2-1 scoreline and at 7/1 with BoyleSports, I’m liking that again and probably with another late one as well.

Harry Kane was rested in midweek and the main man will be back in this one; it’s impossible to look past him at the 7/2 with BoyleSports to open the scoring after his recent impressive run of 10 goals in his last 11 games.

Everton v Leicester
EVERTON host Leicester in a big game in the foot of the table and I think we can make a few quid on this one.

The toffees put in their best performance of the season in the midweek 4-1 defeat of Young Boys in the Europa League and the return of form of Romelu Lukaku who banged in a hat-trick over in Switzerland is probably why they are 4/5 favourites with BoyleSports for this one.

But before we get carried away by that performance, I know the BoyleSports odds compilers have; Everton have been very poor in the Premier League and that was only their second win in their last 12 matches.

The other thing we have to remember is this: Martinez’ went with a very strong side in Switzerland and unlike Tottenham the majority of that starting XI will feature again on Sunday and two big games in a short period of time plus the travelling could take its toll.

Martinez has gone very negative in the Premier League in recent weeks with only five goals scored in their last eight matches and I don’t expect to see anything like Thursday’s fireworks in this one.

Everton have drawn five of their last seven domestic matches and at a massive 11/4 with BoyleSports and that is what I’m playing in this one.

On the opening day of the season these two played out a 2-2 draw and incredibly that was the 12th draw between this two sides in their last 17 meetings and I fully expect that record to continue at the weekend.

I do fancy goals again and I do fancy honours to be even and with five of the last 15 match-ups ending 1-1 that looks a spot of value at the 6/1 with BoyleSports.

Southampton v Liverpool
THE biggest game of the weekend’s is today’s 4pm clash between Liverpool and Southampton at St Marys.

Liverpool make the long journey south as the in-form team in the country with just one loss in their last 23 matches and I don’t really understand why they are BoyleSports 19/10 outsiders for this one.

Liverpool saw off one Champions League rival last week, when winning 3-2 at Anfield against Tottenham and I expect them to see off another in this one. Southampton will not go down easily though. But the problem for Ronald Koeman is that the goals have dried up.

They’ve only managed to net four times in their last five games which isn’t good enough and against a Liverpool side full of confidence that looks a big problem.

Another bet you have to look at is under 2.5 goals in the match at a bargain price of 3/4 with BoyleSports.

Saints don’t concede and are struggling to find the net at the moment and to make the case even stronger for this bet, of the top seven teams, Liverpool have scored the least goals.

This will be a tight one for sure, with neither side wanting to lose as they go hunting for Champions League football and another reason I’ve decided to lean slightly towards Liverpool is the return of Daniel Sturridge.

The England forward has scored three goals since his return from injury and against a team struggling to score he could be the difference between the pair. Sturridge is 11/2 with BoyleSports open the scoring and in a game that doesn’t have many goalscoring alternatives he looks a safe and decent option.
