Seeley’s Selections – Sunday’s Live Games

A big day in the Premier League this Sunday for two teams that need maximum points to keep alive their Champions League aspirations and I think it will be a good day for both.

Arsenal v Aston Villa
The first game in the Premier League is the 1.30pm kick-off between Arsenal and Aston Villa at the Emirates.

The Gunners’ are just 2/7 with BoyleSports to win this one and although they WILL win this match I couldn’t be risking my hard earned on them at that price.

If you fancy a shock you can back the Villans at a massive 12/1 and I’m sure BoyleSports will be calling the cops if you managed to collect on that one.

I can’t be backing either side in the win market but one bet I’m all over and this is my best bet of the weekend is Arsene Wenger’s side to win to nil which is a massive price with BoyleSports at 20/21.

Arsenal have won four of their last five matches to nil and against the lowest scorers in the COUNTRY, it’s impossible to see them causing a goal threat as they haven’t managed a goal in 2015 and at this rate won’t.

Eight of Villa’s last nine games have seen less than three goals but this is a rampant Arsenal who have scored at least two goals in nine of their last 10 matches at the Emirates and a very comfortably home victory is expected.

Paul Lambert’s side shocked the home crowd last season by coming away with a 3-1 win and that’s a massive 80/1 with BoyleSports to happen again: it won’t, so don’t waste your money on that one.

Last time out in the Premier League Arsenal beat another midlands’ side Stoke 3-0 and another comfortable 3-0 home win is expected in this one at 13/2 and was also the scoreline at Villa Park earlier in the campaign.

Wenger for the first time this season has virtually a full squad to choose from so he probably has no idea what starting XI he will choose tomorrow.

One person who is certain to start is Olivier Giroud and the Frenchman is 13/5 to open the scoring in this one and that’s well worth a small play.

REMEMBER “Double Bubble” if your winning first goalscorer nets the opener inside the opening 20 minutes BoyleSports will double the odds on your winning selection.

Seeley’s Selections
Arsenal To Win To Nil @ 20/21
Correct Score: Arsenal 3-0 @ 13/2
Olivier Giroud First Goalscorer @ 13/5

Southampton v Swansea
The Super Sunday clash between Southampton and Swansea down at St Mary’s could be one to stay in and watch as I fancy a few goals and a pretty decent game.

Southampton are real contenders for a Champions League place this season and I can see them showing their class in this one against a Swansea side that are struggling for any form at the moment.

Ronald Koeman’s side are rated 6/10 with BoyleSports for this one and although it’s on the short sider I still think that is one of the bargain bets of the weekend.

I know they were dumped out of the FA Cup last week by Crystal Palace (were they that bothered?) that was their first defeat in their last nine matches and I expected them to be far too strong for the visitors in this one.

Swansea haven’t won a Premier League game in 2015 and although some may be tempted by the 11/2 with BoyleSports my advice is too keep the money in your pocket.

Garry Monk has been a breath of fresh air amongst the old dinosaur Premier League managers, but the young Swans gaffer is under some huge pressure at the moment and without the services of Wilfried Bony and want away Bafétimbi Gomis this is a massive test and he’s going to really struggle for goals.

Swansea remind me of Charlton many years ago when they realise they can’t make Europe and they are safe from relegation the espadrilles come on and they start planning for the end of season tour to Dubai (Tenerife in my day).

The Swans have conceded 16 goals in their last six games which is a concern, but what is encouraging is that they have managed 10 goals in the same period.

Both teams have scored in five of their last six Swansea matches and even without Bony and Gomis I still think they will score in this one and 23/20 on both teams scoring with BoyleSports is worth a small wager.

If you are playing on the first goalscorer markets and hoping to land the “Double Bubble” I’ve been very impressed in what I have seen so far of Southampton’s Dutch star Eljero Elia.

The former Juventus winger scored both goals in Southampton’s 2-1 win at Newcastle in their last Premier League game and the 11/2 with BoyleSports on him netting the opener is something I want to get involved in as I expect him to start upfront in the absence of injured Shane Long.

Seeley’s Selections
Southampton To Win @ 6/10
Both Teams To Score – yes @ 23/20
Eljero Elia First Goalscorer @ 11/2
