Seeley’s Selections – Sunday’s Live Premier League Matches

IT really is a Super Sunday in the Premier League this weekend with three LIVE matches on Sky Sports today starting from 12pm with the battle of two of the basement boys Burnley and West Brom at Turf Moor.

At first glance you might look at this game and think….I’ll give the car a wash, but don’t as I reckon these two could surprise and could serve up a footballing Sunday lunch-time treat.

After a bit of a revival, Burnley are back to their struggling worst, they’ve lost their last three matches and what would give manager Sean Dyche most concern is what was a rock solid defence has conceded nine goals on that losing run and they haven’t keep a clean sheet since December.

The Clarets are 17/10 to win this one with BoyleSports and with all the goals they concede I would want a lot bigger to get involved. All the matches today are very hard to call and despite the “Tony Pulis” factor I couldn’t get involved in West Brom either at the 19/10 for the Baggies to get the three points with BoyleSports.

West Brom have looked a lot more solid since the arrival of Pulis but he won’t be happy with the way they played in their 3-0 hammering against Tottenham last time out and that performance is putting me off backing them in this one.

As I said, this is very difficult to find a winner so how do we make any money? Earlier in the season the two met at the Hawthorns, where West Brom ran out comfortable 4-0 winners – that won’t be happening again and at 66/1 with BoyleSports thats reflected in the odds.

I do though fancy a few goals. Six of the last seven Burnley games have seen both teams scoring and in 10 of the last 11 meetings between this two in this fixture both sides have found the net and at 20/21 with BoyleSports I like that for my first bet.

My second wager is on Danny Ings scoring. if Burnley score it’s more than likely to be Ings and after a big weekend for another England hopeful Harry Kane, I can see “Danny Boy” impressing in this one and at 6/4 to score anytime with BoyleSports that’ll do for me.

Also the 9/2 on him netting first with BoyleSports is a bet I really like and hopefully we can land the “Double Bubble” with the opener inside the first 20 minutes.

Newcastle United v Stoke City, Sunday 14:05, Live on Sky Sports 1
THE second game of the day of rest, yeah right, is the mid-table clash between Newcastle and Stoke at St James’ Park.

New Newcastle manager John Carver finally got his first Premier League win last weekend against Hull, but I saw nothing in that match to suggest that they are a bet in this one at BoyleSports offer of 6/5. That win papers over the cracks of what is avery average side that have only won twice in their last nine matches and have lost SEVEN of those, BoyleSports soccer boys obviously prefer Carver to champagne, I don’t.

Stoke are massive in this one at BoyleSports industry stand-out 13/5 what have they done to be given that price? Played very well and arrive in here in their best form of the season thats what.

Mark Hughes’ side are quietly going about their business and at that price they have to be backed, they beat QPR last week 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Republic of Ireland international John Walters.
They sit above their opponents in the Premier League table and are safely through to the last 16 of the FA Cup after just one defeat in their last eight matches, so why are they such outsiders? I don’t get it either.

Hughes’ side have won their last three matches and are scoring goals for fun and I fancy them strongly to get something from this visit to the North East.

Gone are the long ball tactics of Tony Pulis and this is a much more attractive (barring Ryan Shawcross) Stoke team under Hughes, 19 goals have been scored in their last six games and in four of their last five matches the games have seem more than 2.5 goals scored.

Over 2.5 goals has been a winner in nine of the last 10 meetings and is one of my bets again in this one at BoyleSports bargain price of 11/10.

With goals expected but also an away win also fancied , if you want to have a small investment with the potential of a decent return my correct-score fancy is on a 2-1 away win at 11/1 with BoyleSports.
For the Double Bubble, Walters will be popular with BoyleSports punters again after his hat-trick last week at 8/1, but my fancy would be Peter Crouch at 8/1 also with Boylesports.
The former England international scored the only goal when the two met at the Britannia earlier in the season and he will be a constant nuisance to this Newcastle defence all afternoon.

West Ham v Manchester United, Sunday 16:15, Live on Sky Sports 1
THE streets of Billericay will be deserted at 4pm this afternoon after a weekend of derbies we have the final one of the weekend the “Essex Derby” when Manchester United travel to the East End to take on West Ham.

After yesterday’s results with Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool all failing to win this is now a MASSIVE match for Louis Van Gaal’s side but could you back them at BoyleSports’ 20/21? I thought not.

United arrive here in great form with just one loss in their last 16 matches, but it just shows how poor this Premier League is this season as I still think they are a very, very average side. United will have their supporters and they might win, but if you are taking the odds-on quotes, trust me you are doing it all wrong.

I have been down to the Boleyn Ground a couple of times this season and there is a real feel good factor around the place and when the natives are ‘appy so are the players and this will be a proper test for the visitors.

The Hammers look big to me at BoyleSports offer of 16/5, they do have a couple of injury concerns in their defence, but I’m very confident they will score against a leaky Man United back three/four or five?

The first bet I really like in this one is both teams to score. Both of these sides are very shaky at the back and I can’t see Man Utd coping with the aerial threat of Andy Carroll and the pace Diafra Sakho but saying that I also can’t see the Hammers rearguard keeping in-form Robin van Persie and co quiet for 90-minutes either.

Although it’s not everybody’s kind of price the 4/5 with BoyleSports on both teams scoring, is not only my banker of this match but my best bet on the whole day.

This is still one of the toughest places to go in the Premier League and with only one defeat at home in their last 12 matches I do think the Hammers get something from this , but I still couldn’t back them to win the game at the 16/5.

The best way to get with Sam Allardyce side is the 10/11 with BoyleSports on them in the double chance market which pays us out on both a home win and a draw.

United have an excellent recent record in the East End losing just once in their last seven visits, but they have got a pretty decent record everywhere in the Premier League, but there are still major question marks about THIS team, especially the defence.

With two leaky defences and some world class strikers there has to be goals and I’m going to stick a couple of quid on the “desmond” 2-2 at a monster 12/1.

Andy Carroll is a player that I’m a huge admirer of and I would rather him in my team than to be facing him every week. He’s a slight injury concern but if he starts I can see him really causing this United defence some huge problems and at 7/1 with BoyleSports he would be my choice for a first goalscorer and hopefully get’s an early one to land a nice juicy “Double Bubble” bonus.
