A Sky Full Of Bets See Coldplay’s Odds To Headline Slane 2019 Slashed

Coldplay have further shortened as favourites to headline Slane in 2019 after BoyleSports were inundated with bets with no signs of them slowing.

BoyleSports released odds on who would headline Slane 2019 after Lord Henry Mountcharles confirmed that Slane Castle will host a concert next year, stating that it is a band that hasn’t played there before.

Coldplay, despite playing as a supporting act to U2 in 2001, were quickly installed as the 13/8 favourites and punters quickly latched on. A betting frenzy ensued and BoyleSports have had to cut their odds from 13/8 to their current 11/8 as a result.

There is also a new second favourite to headline Slane next year as Metallica were installed at 4/1 after punters continued to cry out for the Enter Sandman band to be added to the potential runners suggesting they might know more than BoyleSports.

Radiohead and The Killers have both drifted out to 5/1 from 3/1 apiece, whilst Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Arctic Monkeys are newcomers to the betting at 12/1 and 16/1 respectively.

The only thing that could jeopardise Coldplay’s Slane appearance next year is that Lord Henry stated…

the act have not played there before, which they have as a support act, however this may also be a red herring.

Punters who think otherwise have been latching onto Metallica who are the new 4/1 second favourites after a host of requests.
