Strong Support For Eighth Amendment To be Saved

Significant bets have forced us to slice the odds of the Eighth Amendment remaining unchanged from 9/4 into 6/4.

The movement in the market came on Wednesday morning after the Government agreed on the content of new legislation should the Eighth Amendment to the referendum be repealed.

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte meanwhile was praised by Pro-Life group Love Both after he publicly appealed for people to vote against changes to the Eighth Amendment.

A no vote in the referendum, which is set to be confirmed this week for the end of May, is now the shortest price it has ever been

…having been as big as 15/2 at the start of the year.

A yes vote, which would trigger a change in legislation to allow unrestricted abortions up to 12 weeks, remains more likely to happen at 1/2 but is odds-on at 5/6 to fall under the 56% mark when the ballots are counted at the end of May.
