The Dubliner has also been clipped into 6/1 from 25/1 to be the one who replaces Michael D. Higgins as President of Ireland.

Higgins is scheduled to relinquish the role in 2025 when his second term comes to an end and punters fancy Bertie Ahern to make a move into the Phoenix Park.

He is also 3/1 from 6/1 with BoyleSports to take part in the next series of Dancing with the Stars.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Bertie Ahern is now 100/1 from 500/1 to become the Taoiseach again someday.

The former Fianna Fáil leader was as big as 25/1 to replace Higgins but amid the talks of him re-joining Fianna Fáil, supporters have got behind him with his odds sinking into 6/1.

This makes Bertie the second favourite in the betting and the shortest price he has ever been for a move into the Phoenix Park.”
