Week 7 NFL Picks – Massive 7/4 Price Boost Treble

We put together some week 7 NFL picks for the action this coming Sunday. Last week the underdogs ruled, is this Sunday for the favourites?

Ravens, Bucs & Jaguars | 6pm Price Boost Treble 11/8 NOW 7/4

Ravens To Beat The Browns

The Ravens are the best 3-3 team in the NFL. Honestly, it is hard to believe that this team have three losses to their name after having been up by 10 points in all six games they’ve played.

Baltimore keep shooting themselves in the foot this season which is very uncharacteristic of this team under head coach John Harbaugh. During his tenure this has always been an incredibly well-run and well-coached football team.

Then there is the Browns who sit at 2-4 and third place in the AFC North. The expectations around the Jacoby Brissett led Browns were not high but the offence has flashed promise at times. This team runs the ball really well with an offence that is ranked #1 in rushing yards per game.

What is most surprising about the Browns however is how bad their defence has been. This defence was expected to be the best unit on this team but the reality has been anything but. Cleveland’s defence allows the 9th most yards per game to opposing offences.

With Lamar Jackson at the peak of his powers right now he should have a lot of success against this bad Browns defence.

Don’t be shocked if Cleveland keeps it close with their strong running game but I expect the Ravens to get the win here.

Pick: Ravens

Bucs To Beat The Panthers

The Buccaneers are coming off the back of a shock loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Luckily for them this is a perfect bounce back spot against the lowly Panthers.

We’ve seen slow starts before from Tom Brady led teams and they always start to pick it up as the season gets going. There are some things to be positive about in Tampa Bay too. The defence has played well so far as they are allowing the 7th fewest opponent yards per play. Tampa Bay is also ranked 6th in net yards per play.

The Panthers are just a plain bad football team. I could tell you about all the stats and advanced analytics but it’s just not really necessary here. Their 1-5 record speaks for itself.

Carolina also fired their head coach Matt Rhule two weeks ago which adds to the dysfunctional state of this franchise. Oh, and I forgot to mention that their QB situation is a shambles with Baker Mayfield and PJ Walker looking out of their depth as starters.

Bucs should dominate here.

Pick: Buccaneers

Jaguars To Beat The Giants

The Giants right now are flying high at 5-1 so some might find it strange that they are the underdog in this game against the 2-4 Jaguars. If we take a closer look however then we can see exactly why the Jags are favoured and should go on to win this game.

Look, the Giants are not a bad team, they are well coached and do a good job running the ball with star running back Saquon Barkley. They have far surpassed the expectations of NFL analysts so far, but they are not as good as their 5-1 record might suggest.

Two key stats that are very predictive of future success in the NFL are point differential and net yards per play. In terms of point differential, the Giants are only +14 points on the season which is closer to the points differential of a 3-3 team than a 5-1 outfit. On top of this, the Giants rank 26th out of 32 NFL teams in net yards per play. This team has overachieved tremendously to this point and that trend is going to change sooner rather than later.

The Jaguars on the other hand are a much better team than their 2-4 record might suggest. Jacksonville has a better point differential than the Giants with +24. They also rank 10th in net yards per play. Put simply, the Jaguars are a better team than the Giants and they have home field advantage on their side.

Jacksonville is the bet here.

Pick: Jaguars
