Punter Pipped To €80,000 With 10 Cent Bet

An lucky online punter won big yesterday although they were just pipped at the post for an even bigger win after five out of their six selections won in their Lucky 63 at Punchestown.

The bet which cost €6.30 in total saw the punter select Edwulf (7/2) in the 12:25, Luckyinmilan (7/4) in the 1:00, Canaly (11/1) in the 1:35, Any Second Now (8/1) in the G2 Moscow Flyers Novice Hurdle, Definite Ruby (6/1) in the 3:20 and Fintara (7/1) in the 3:50.

Luckyinmilan was the one that let the punter down despite being well fancied and well backed, going off at an SP of 9/10. However he finished a disappointing tenth. There was good news for the customer however.

With the other five horses all obliging they turned their bet that cost €6.30 into a whopping €23,165.90.

If all six selections had obliged the lucky punter would have netted just under €80,000, but it was a big ask to pick five winners from such a competitive card at Punchestown so hats off for their savvy picking.
