Cats Back In Favour With GAA Punters

Kilkenny’s last-gasp victory over Tipperary on Sunday has seen a renewed bust in support from punters for Brian Cody’s men to win the league after leaders Limerick were beaten at home by Cork.

Eoin Murphy’s injury-time free edged the Cats in front at the critical time as they emerged victorious by a solitary point at Semple Stadium to put themselves within reach of All-Ireland winners Limerick at the head of the table.

The Treaty remain the 13/8 favourites to win Division 1 but they now have five teams just two points behind them in the table and Kilkenny shot up the betting to 7/1 having started the weekend out at 14/1.

Galway breezed to victory over Offaly in Tullamore and they are now 9/2 from 5/1 to catch Limerick, but they continue to lead the All-Ireland betting at 3/1.

A few punters in the south east snapped up the 14/1 about Kilkenny when they drifted in the league market and that could prove to be a savvy move after a real shake-up at the weekend saw them tumble back into 7/1.

They’re also seeing a noticeable increase in All-Ireland support so we’ve trimmed them into 6/1 from 15/2 after the weekend.
