Jury Duty has jumped into co-favouritism for the BoyleSports Irish Grand National after the latest forfeit stage for the €500,000 race on Easter Monday.

Jockey Robbie Power wrote in his BoyleSports blog this week that the 8-year-old was ‘going well’ when he unseated his rider at the 18th fence in the English equivalent two weeks ago, but he could now take his place in the Fairyhouse line-up as Gordon Elliott bids to win the race for the second year in a row.

We cut Jury Duty into 8/1 from 12/1 on Wednesday after he enjoyed a spike in support from punters,

making him co-favourite alongside the Willie Mullins-trained Pairofbrowneyes and Ted Walsh’s Kim Muir winner Any Second Now.

Pairofbrowneyes leads the Mullins charge as he bids to break his duck in the race having gone close last year with Isleofhopendreams only losing out to General Principle by a head. Total Recall is 14/1 from an opening quote of 20/1 for Mullins having finished behind subsequent Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo at Tramore in January.
