Betting Preview – Friday 15th August 2014

Friday’s sport includes six race meetings from Ireland and the UK, plenty of live football action, Round 2 in both Made In Denmark and the Wyndham Championship, Singapore Masters Darts and more.

HORSE RACING
There are six meetings in the UK and Ireland on Friday – they are:

Newcastle (2:00pm, Flat)
Nottingham (2:10pm, Flat)
Newbury (2:20pm, Flat)
Tramore (5:10pm, National Hunt)
Newmarket (5:25pm, Flat)
Catterick (5:40pm, Flat)

They also race at Fairview in South Africa from 12:00pm and Deauville in France from 12:50pm.

ATHLETICS
The European Outdoor Championship continues on Friday in Zurich (live on RTE2, BBC2 & Eurosport) across the day. The conclusion of the men’s 50km walk, in which Robert Heffernan is a medal contender is one of the events down for decision in Switzerland.

CRICKET
Day one of the Fifth Test between England and India gets underway on Friday (live on Sky Sports 2 from 10:00am) at the Oval as both teams look to get off to a good start in the final match of the series.

DARTS
The opening day of the inaugural Singapore Masters takes place on Friday with quarter-final matches down for decision from the Singapore Indoor Stadium (live on Sky 2 from 12:30pm).

GOLF
The second round of the Made in Denmark takes place on Friday morning (live on Sky Sports 4 from 10:30am & 2:30pm) at the Himmerland Golf Resort in Aalborg. Elsewhere, the Wegmans Championship continues on day two of the Ladies Tour (live on Sky Sports 4 from 5:30pm), while the second-round of the Wyndham Championship also takes place in US (live on Sky Sports 4 from 8:00pm).

There are six BAGS cards across the day on Friday – they are:

The Warrington Wolves take on the Castleford Tigers in the Super League on Friday night (live on Sky Sports 1 from 7:30pm) at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Elsewhere, Bayonne face Toulon in one of the opening matches in the new French season (live on Sky Sports 2 from 7:00pm) at the Stade Jean Dauger Stadium.

SHOWJUMPING
The Champions Tour continues with the 11th round of the season from Horse Guards Parade in London (live on BBC2 from 3:00pm). This is the second time London has staged an event on the tour, with last year’s being won by Britain’s Ben Maher.

TENNIS
The Cincinnati Masters continues on Friday on day five of the tournament in Ohio (live on Sky Sports 3 from 4:00pm & BT Sport 1 from 6:00pm) with the quarter-finals the highlight of play.
