All We Want Is Stevie McCrorie

The Voice UK

Outright Betting

The Voice UK kicked off Saturday night with its first blind Auditions.

Tom, Ricky and Will.iam returned to their big red chairs and brought along new coach Rita Ora. Rita failed to secure some of the acts she wanted and was left with just one team member after the first show.

Ricky Wilson was the coach of the night as he welcomed three acts to his team.

The one to watch is Stevie McCrorie, who closed the show by joining team Ricky and went straight into the betting as the 5/1 favourite to win.

Also on team Ricky is Hannah Symons, who got all four judges to turn after singing a song she co-wrote with Rudimental and is on offer at 12/1. The final member of team Ricky is Letitia George who opened the show and is priced at 20/1 to give Ricky his first winner.

Howard Rose, a music teacher in the ‘School of Rock’, was the first to sign up to team Tom after his rendition of My Generation and is an impressive 12/1 to win.

Will.i.am remains the coach to beat at 9/4 and started off his team with Opera singer Lucy O’Byrne. It was an interesting choice for Will and at 22/1 it may not pay off to have the Dubliner on his squad.

Ryan Green came back for another stab at making in on the Voice UK and was snapped up by Rita Ora, he is unfortunately on offer at the bottom of the betting at 25/1 to win.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive at BoyleSports, commented “Stevie McCrorie closed the first of the Voice UK Blind Auditions in spectacular fashion and had all the judges begging to have him on their team. Ricky got lucky having the Scotsman on his side as he is the early favourite to win at 5/1.”

She added “Tom Jones grabbed one act for his team, Howard Rose, and it was a great choice for Tom as punters have made the music teacher a three figure liability already!”
