The Peter Cronin trained Kildare, the talented son of Droopys Sydney – Palermo, was fast away from trap six and obliged for favourite backers at a generous price of 2/1 beating Sunshine Dream by five lengths in 29.40.

The sponsors have cut Kildare into 11/4 from 5/1 making him the new favourite.

Garryvoe Joe has caught the eye over the last few weeks for trainer Graham Holland. This son of Dorotas Wildcat – Jalingo has just six career starts on his card so the future is looking bright.

He won the opening heat by a short head to the speedy Bobsleigh Dream in 29.68. Garryvoe 6/1 from 14/1 and Bobsleigh is 8/1 from 10/1 in the betting.

Ballymac Joey was the winner in heat three in 29.62 for trainer Liam Dowling beating his kennelmate Ballymac Ben by two and a half lengths. This son of Ballymac Bolger is now 12/1 from 33/1 with Ben 14/1 from 20/1.

Emilys Jet was in impressive winner of heat two for trainer Peter Cronin in 29.74 and is 14/1 from 33/1 to win the title.
