Robbie Power speaks exclusively to us from Cheltenham about his rides on Day Three of the festival, as well his thoughts on the rest of the day’s action.

1.30 JLT Novices’ Chase – Finian’s Oscar
It’s a very competitive race and Finian’s Oscar I think is the best of these over hurdles having won two Grade Ones over the smaller obstacles.

He’s had a wind operation since his last run and hopefully it improves him. He needs to jump better than he has done as he’s been a bit careful at fences. They’ve put cheek pieces on him and his schooling in them has gone very well so I think he has a chance. Course and distance form is very important around Cheltenham and if he can get into a rhythm over the fences he has a big chance.

The main dangers I think are Invitation Only and Shattered Love who have decent Grade One form.
