Ballymac Arminta Backed Further For Race Of Champions

Since last Friday’s semi-finals, Ballymac Arminta and Slippy Cian shared favouritism in the ante post market for the Race Of Champions final that is taking place this Friday at the Kingdom Greyhound stadium.

Nothing could split the pair but following some hefty bets on Thursday afternoon,

Liam Dowling’s bitch has been cut into 11/8 from 13/8 and is now the clear favourite with Slippy Cian remaining at 13/8.

We have now gone into an even bigger red book as a result of the support for Arminta with the fastest bitch in the country the only female running in the final.

She was 11/4 before the first semi-final took place and is a big hit with the punters after her exceptional Oaks campaign where she almost broke the track record at HQ.

Blue East cannot be ignored in trap one after he showed decent pace from traps last week clocking a 4.33 split from trap three but found trouble and had no luck in running.

He is better housed in this race and at 11/2 from 10/1, he could prove to be a great value bet. He is constantly running against top class dogs and deserves his day in the spotlight.

Liam Dowling’s other runner Akelawre has drifted out to 7/1 from 6/1 along with Ballydoyle Valor in trap five out to 10/1 from 8/1. It’s a cracking final and looks like it will be a battle between Arminta and Cian!
