My Best Bet Of The Day At Cartmel Is A Real Trooper

It’s an exciting few days ahead with some decent action from Punchestown and Cartmel on Wednesday.

Punchestown Runners
Bright New Dawn is top rated in the race tomorrow at Punchestown but is completely hit and miss. He’s either brilliant or very bad but he’s in good form at the moment and likes fences around Punchestown and a small field.

I’d imagine he has a very good chance in the opener at 5:50.

Realt Mor has been very hard to train but if he got placed on Wednesday in the 6:20 I’d be happy and we could build on it. He’s looking for some good ground over the summer.

I’ve three running in the Maiden Hurdle at 7:30; Everyday Everyhour, Lake Malawi and Miro. They’re three average horses and if they ran well we’d be happy. They all have to improve a lot.

Sonic Rainbow runs in the Mares Maiden Hurdle at 7:50 and again she didn’t get very far the last time, she blew up at the second hurdle so hopefully we’ll learn a bit more from her tomorrow.

Tempo Mac runs in the Handicap Hurdle at 8:20 and has gone up a lot since winning at Punchestown. He was disappointing in Killarney for no particular reason, he just didn’t show up but he is in good form at the moment and we’re claiming 5 pounds off him. He’ll have to do something on Wednesday and if not then he’ll have to go jumping fences.

Cartmel Runners
Blake Dean runs at Cartmel in the Handicap Hurdle at 2:20. It’s not the strongest race in the world and he’s no superstar but hopefully he’ll get a bit of luck and do well. He is by no means one of our leading lights in the yard.

Tullyglush runs in the maiden hurdle at 2:50 and this race looks ideal for her. She won a bumper at Perth the last day. She jumps, she stays very well and I think she’ll run a great race.

She’s my best bet of the day at Cartmel. She’s a real trooper.

Mr Steadfast runs in the Beginners Chase at 3:50. On a good day he’s very good and on a bad day he’s very bad. I wouldn’t tend to rely on him but he’s in good form so I’m hoping for a good run.

In his best form, Baroque Style would have a very good chance in the 5:20. If he looks a little bit nervous then he might just not be good enough

Super Jack
Jack Kennedy has ridden out his claim now and has to keep working hard and will get plenty of rides. By losing his claim his rides definitely won’t be reduced. He’s a great lad and if we keep him in one piece he will have a great future.
