Bingo! Monaghan Player Turns Fiver Into Five Grand In Five Minutes

A County Monaghan Bingo player had that Friday feeling more than most this week as they basked in the glory of a lucky run of balls, seeing them go into the weekend with a welcome cash injection.

The punter took a €5 punt in one of our shops in the county on Thursday evening and was left hoping that their six bingo numbers were called out in store.

As the balls rolled out their luck began to snowball as one after another, their numbers were revealed.

A jackpot of €100,000 was up for grabs if the selected numbers are the first six drawn but there are significant consolation prizes if they are called at any time amongst the 35 numbers called.

The hopeful Monaghan native watched as 11, 15, 16, 20, 25 and 32 were all revealed within the first 10 numbers, meaning their €5 betslip was transformed into €5,000 in a matter of minutes.
