Blues Shorten To Bounce Back With Signings Supported For Impact

Birmingham City are being well backed to put an end to a worrying run of form when they welcome Luton Town to St. Andrew’s this weekend.

The Blues have sunk into the relegation zone after just one win from 11 league matches, but boss Aitor Karanka has hinted that new signings Yan Valery, Rekeem Harper and Sam Cosgrove are all close to earning first starts for the club.

Cosgrove reached the 20-goal mark in each of his last two campaigns in Scotland and the January recruit from Aberdeen is a 7/4 shot from 5/2 to bag his first goal in the blue of Birmingham after his debut from the bench in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth.

The former Everton youth is the 9/2 favourite amongst the hosts to open the scoring, while Scott Hogan’s brace last time out makes him a popular selection at 11/2 from 6/1.

A first home win since October is also shortening at 13/8 from 15/8 with optimism growing that Karanka’s side can build upon some positives from last week’s performance at the Vitality Stadium.
