Boris Backed To Be Gone By The End Of 2019

Money is coming for Boris Johnson to be replaced as Prime Minister imminently after a constitutional bombshell landed by way of a Supreme Court ruling on Tuesday morning.

The Prime Minister suffered a remarkable setback when the Supreme Court in London ruled that his decision to prorogue Parliament was unlawful, prompting Jeremy Corbyn to address the Labour Party conference in Brighton to invite the PM to ‘consider his position.’

SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon meanwhile called for his immediate resignation.

Johnson has to stay in office beyond November 20th to avoid going down as the shortest serving PM in British history, but that could be under threat and a flurry of bets in the wake of the news from London saw him crash into Even money from 5/2 with us to be replaced by the end of the year.

The prospects of a general election before 2019 is out are seemingly on the rise too and it’s now 4/11 from 4/7 that an election takes place this year. Boris Johnson was a hot 1/4 to be the PM on the other side of the election, but those odds have seen a significant easing to 4/7.
