Boris Johnson Backed For Next Prime Minister

After months of speculation, UK Prime Minister Theresa May announced on Friday that she would be stepping down.

Boris Johnson is now the runaway favourite to be the next Prime Minister after several bets on the former Foreign Secretary saw his odds collapse.

With Theresa May’s departure from Number 10 now imminent, BoyleSports have cut the odds on passionate Brexiteer Boris Johnson becoming the next Prime Minister into 10/11.

Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab was the closest rival to Boris Johnson in the next Prime Minister ante post market, but his odds have drifted out to 5/1 from 3/1 as well as Jeremy Corbyn who has dropped down to 33/1 from 16/1.

Boris Johnson is also enjoying the bulk of support from punters over the past few weeks to be crowned Theresa May’s successor as the next Conservative Party leader and we were forced to slash his odds from into 4/5 from 5/4.

Conservative Party politician Andrea Leadsom has drifted out to 12/1 from 8/1 following the renewed support for Johnson with Rory Stewart now 16/1 from 22/1.

The most likely year of the next election is looking like 2019 with the odds shortening into 9/5 from 2/1. 2020 has also shortened into 15/8 from 2/1.
