BoyleSports And AP McCoy Donate €5,000 To IIJF

John Boyle and AP McCoy presented the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund with a cheque for a whopping €5,000 at Fairyhouse on Monday.

BoyleSports teamed up with AP McCoy a number of months ago to celebrate his retirement by donating €100 to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund for every winner he rode until the end of the season.

To sweeten the deal even further BoyleSports decided to increase the donation to €200 for every winner AP McCoy rode at the Cheltenham Festival.

The pot reached a total of €2,500, but as a show of good faith BoyleSports doubled the amount to bring the grand total up to an impressive €5,000.

With AP having his final race at Fairyhouse he and John Boyle made the generous presentation to the fantastic and vital charity ahead of the main event the Irish Grand National.

Alan Reilly, Head of Horse Racing at BoyleSports, commented “As a token of our appreciation of what AP has brought to bring to our sport we felt that by making a contribution to the IIJF for every winner he rides would be a fitting contribution to a cause that is very close to anyone who is fortunate enough to be involved in this industry.”
