Boys In Green Odds On To Qualify From Group D

The Republic of Ireland’s 1-1 draw with Austria in the Aviva Stadium on Sunday sees them join Serbia on 12 points.

However the Boys In Green remain in second place as Serbia continue to lead Group D on goal difference, following their 1-1 draw with Wales in Red Star Stadium.

With Moldova and Georgia’s qualification hopes dashed following their 2-2 draw in Chisnau, Martin O’Neill’s men are odds on a 4/5 to qualify from the group.

Serbia have been cut to 6/4 from 15/8 to win Group D with the Republic of Ireland remaining 7/4 to overtake Serbia in the group. Wales have drifted to 10/3 from 5/2 whilst Austria are now 6/1 from 8/1.

With Serbia and the Republic of Ireland both drawing their respective World Cup qualifying clashes, Group D remains unchanged, but the betting has seen Serbia shorten to 6/4 from 15/8 to win the group.

The Boys In Green are 4/5 to qualify from Group D and continue to see a lot of patriotic support

…which we suspect will only grow ahead of their clash against Georgia in a couple of weeks.
