Can Resurgent Man Utd Finish In The Top Four?

Manchester United’s odds of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season have taken a nose dive after a patient display saw them overcome Newcastle 2-0 on Wednesday.

The three points make it is four wins from four since Ole Gunnar Solksjaer took temporary charge of the club, meaning he has became only the second United boss in their history to register victories in his first four games in the dugout.

We had the Old Trafford team out at 8/1 to finish in top four when Jose Mourinho departed the club as they lay 11 points behind Chelsea in 6th place.

That gap has already closed to just six points and United are now only 11/4 to haul themselves back into the Champions League places, making them more likely to do so than 5th placed Arsenal at 3/1.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer meanwhile has gone from 3/1 into 11/4 to be given the Manchester United job on a permanent basis after he let slip in the post-match press conference that he didn’t want to go at the end of the season.
