Can Rory Follow Up Canadian Glory At The US Open?

US Open

Outright Winner

Rory McIlroy boosted his chances of a second US Open victory this week after a sensational win on Sunday in the Canadian Open with a final round of 61.

We had the Holywood star priced at 9/1 to claim the win in Canada and as a result of renewed support for him to get back into the major winners’ enclosure, his price has been cut into 8/1 from 12/1 to win at Pebble Beach.

The four-time major winner is now the joint favourite in the field alongside defending champion Brooks Koepka and world number two Dustin Johnson.

We have offered a 40/1 chance that Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka finish 1st and 2nd in any order after cutting it in from 66/1 on Sunday night.

Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are available at 50/1 to be occupying the first two places when the tournament ends on Sunday evening.

McIlroy is 5/6 from 11/8 to finish in the Top 10 and a short 1/3 from 8/13 for a Top 20 finish.
Shane Lowry served up four rounds in the 60s at the Canadian Open to finish 2nd to McIlroy and the Offaly man looks in great shape heading to Pebble Beach, with his price cut into 40/1 from 66/1 as he seeks his first major championship title.
