Chelsea Legend Frank Lampard Backed For Crystal Palace Job

Frank Lampard has already been backed into odds-on favourite to be the next permanent manager of Crystal Palace after Roy Hodgson confirmed he will leave the role at the end of the season.

The former England boss, whose contract expires after the Eagles’ final Premier League match of the campaign against Liverpool on Sunday, guided his side to an 11th-place finish in his first season despite taking over when the club were bottom of the table without a goal after four matches in September 2017.

Frank Lampard was immediately installed as the 6/4 favourite to replace Hodgson after the news broke on Tuesday, but that has already been gambled into 5/6, putting him ahead of Swansea boss Steve Cooper (3/1), who is also said to be under consideration for the post.

Burnley’s Sean Dyche is prominent in the list of likely successors at 7/1 while Sam Allardyce is a 16/1 shot after swerving questions over his West Brom future after their defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

Bet on the next Crystal Palace manager, HERE.

Frank Lampard’s name was being linked before Roy Hodgson confirmed his exit so it’s perhaps no surprise to see him so well backed.
