Cindy Beale The Unusual Suspect

The National TV Awards revealed a clue as to who killed Lucy Beale, when the music boxed was played and read “This was the last thing Lucy heard”.

Eastenders fans have been gripped by the storyline for months and as it draws to a close, punters have been having their shot at guessing who the killer is.

Abi Branning has been heavily backed and remains the favourite, but at the shorter price of 5/4 from 11/4 to have committed the crime.

However, punters’ attentions have turned to another suspect in recent days as Cindy Beale starts to come to the forefront.

Cindy found the music box and after the clue at the National TV Awards, support came flooding in for the youngster to have murdered her stepsister resulting in us slashing her odds from 12/1 to 6/1.

Suspicion surrounding Abi Branning may have eased slightly due to the music box connection with Cindy but she is still the biggest loser in the book and remains the favourite to have committed the crime.

Cora Cross is also on offer at 6/1, with Denise Fox next in the betting at 9/1. Lucy’s father Ian Beale and best friend Lauren Branning are not in the clear either with both of them installed at 10/1.
