Claire Byrne

Claire Byrne Odds Cut To Become Next President Of Ireland

A new name has emerged in the betting on who will replace Michael D Higgins as the next President of Ireland with a familiar face gaining plenty of overnight support.

President Higgins must relinquish the role in 2025 when his second term is scheduled to come to an end and punters are already speculating Claire Byrne will take his place in Áras an Uachtaráin after a new burst of support arrived in the last twelve hours.

We have reported significant support arriving for the glamourous TV presenter who received plenty of positive feedback for the handling and questioning during a rare conversation with Leo Varadkar and Mary Lou McDonald on Monday night’s episode in a debate on a possible United Ireland.

This has resulted in the chances of Byrne becoming the President of Ireland tumbling into 66/1 from 150/1 and judging by the bets being placed on her, she is a popular choice with punters.

On the same episode of Claire Byrne Live, the host was forced to cut Joe Brolly off mid-debate over name calling which left RTE viewers stunned therefore resulting in his odds drifting out to 200/1 from 100/1 to replace Michael D Higgins.

Bet on the next President of Ireland, HERE.

We were very surprised to see punters back Claire Byrne. This is the first time we have ever received support for Byrne with plenty of punters impressed with her conduct on Monday night’s episode of Claire Byrne Live.
