Coldplay Backed To Headline Slane In 2019

Lord Henry Mountcharles has confirmed that Slane Castle will host a concert in 2019, but the headline act remains a mystery.

Coldplay are the early 13/8 favourites to be revealed as Slane’s 2019 headline act.

The band were last in Ireland in 2017 as part of their ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ tour which sold out across Irish venues.

Radiohead, whose album ‘OK Computer’ was revealed as the best-selling album of the year in independent record stores, join The Killers as joint 3/1 second favourites to book the gig.

Muse are next in the betting at 7/2 with Fleetwood Mac on offer at 6/1.

Abba have re-formed and are producing new music, but a tour looks unlikely, however fans can avail of 16/1 odds that the supergroup might take a chance on Lord Henry and play Slane 2019.

Outsider names include, The Script (25/1), Garth Brooks (33/1), Picture This (50/1), Boyzone (100/1) and The Rubberbandits (100/1).
