Corofin Cut For Back to Back All-Ireland Wins

Corofin and Dr Crokes set up a St Patrick’s Day All-Ireland Club Championship final after they won their respective semi-finals on Saturday.

Defending champions Corofin secured a 2-13 to 1-12 win against Gaoth Dobhair at Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada. The six in a row Galway champions will now go into the final as 8/13 favourites having seen their outright odds shortened drastically in from 11/8 to hold onto the Andy Merrigan Cup for back to back years.

Dr Crokes ended Mullinalaghta’s Cinderella story with a 0-18 to 2-07 win at Semple Stadium. It was an impressive display from the first time Leinster champions, but it wasn’t quite enough to get past the Kerry and Munster giants.

The 2017 All-Ireland champions have seen their odds drift out to 5/4 from 11/10 favouritism in the outright betting as they prepare for a final showdown without midfielder Johnny Buckley after he was sent off on a straight red.

In the match betting the Galway side are firm odds-on favourites at 4/5 with the draw priced at 15/2 and Crokes 11/8.

Dr Crokes are confident that they will be able to overturn Johnny Buckley’s suspension ahead of their final against reigning champions Corofin on St Patrick’s Day, but his current absence and Mullinalaghta’s ability to put the Munster champions under pressure…

has resulted in them drifting from 11/10 favouritism to 5/4 as Corofin take over as 8/13 firm market leaders.
