Punters Back Snow On Christmas Day In Dublin

To Snow On Christmas Day 2019

Outright Betting

The temperatures in Ireland this week are not the only figures that are plummeting as the odds on snow to fall at Dublin Airport on December 25th have melted into the shortest price so far this year.

We reacted to support on Wednesday morning after Met Éireann confirmed “some wintry falls” could be expected this weekend with the cold and frost set to continue into next week with sub-zero temperatures expected.

It’s now a 7/2 chance from 9/2 that snow will be recorded at Dublin Airport on Christmas Day,

…with Belfast Airport 4/1 from 15/2 to see a sprinkling of snow on the 25th.

The maximum depth of snow recorded at Dublin Airport on Christmas Day was 20cm in 2010.

This was also the only Christmas Day with snow lying on the ground at 9am since records began in 1941 but the way the betting is going over the last few weeks, we could be treated to a white Christmas this year.
